Business Challenge::-

• To track the canteen usage of their employees.
• To interface the canteen usage with their payroll system.
• To make the canteen process completely cashless.
• To avoid the wastage of items in canteen.
• To use the Access cards to work as cash card in canteen.

BGIL Solution:-

HF based smart card solution was implemented at Price Water House Cooper office in Delhi.

• Individual employees were provided with smart cards which will work as their ID cards, access cards as well as cash cards in canteen.
• Touch screen based PCs were placed at the Point-of-sales (POS) inside the canteen with a very user friendly software to select the meals from various options.
• Readers were placed near POS for employees to show their cards and use the canteen.
• Printers were also placed near POS to generate receipts of the canteen usage by the employee.
• We developed a canteen management application that helps increase customer visibility to the canteen usage and avoid wastage of canteen items.
• Employees come to the POS show their cards and select the meal that they want to have. Printer prints the receipt and the employees can take the receipt, go to the service counter, handover the receipt and take the meal.
• In the backend the database gets integrated with the payroll system of PWC and at the end of the month the canteen usage of each employee gets deducted from their respective salaries.
