Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance is a process followed in BGIL by which entities review the quality of all factors involved in the process of Software Development. This approach places an emphasis on three aspects:

• Elements such as controls, job management, defined and well managed processes, performance and integrity criteria, and identification of records.
• Competence such as knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.
• Soft elements, such as personnel integrity, confidence, organizational culture, motivation, team spirit, and quality relationships.

The quality of the outputs is at risk if any of these three aspects is deficient in any way:-

Quality control emphasizes testing of products to uncover defects, and reporting to management who make the decision to allow or deny the release, whereas quality assurance attempts to improve and stabilize production, and associated processes, to avoid, or at least minimize, issues that led to the defects in the software.

In project management, quality assurance requires the project manager and the project team to inspect the accomplished work to ensure that it's aligned with the project scope. In practice, projects typically have a dedicated quality control team which focuses on this area.

Process:-

BGIL follows a very well defined process for quality assurance. We have a dedicated team for quality assurance purpose which includes testers, quality control specialist and other members. Job of this team is to test and assure the quality of the software releases. This team gets the software developed by the development team and does the quality assurance for the same. Any defects in the software developed by the development team is reported back to them and then the software development team rectifies the defects and gives it back to the quality assurance team. This process continues until quality assurance team is satisfied with the developed software. This team is also responsible for the Beta testing at the client sites.
